Caraway plants are a true heirloom, originating in Asia, and an easy-to-grow biennial, producing aromatic, finely divided leaves and licorice flavored seeds. The pungent, sweet and tangy seeds are used to flavor baked goods, cheeses, soups, salads and meats. The plants grow 18-24″ (45-60 cm) tall.
Plant in shallow saucers for winter microgreens and harvest by snipping off tender young shoots with scissors. The young shoots have a more subtle flavor than the mature leaves.
